Hamas said on Wednesday that a delegation of its leaders will meet with a delegation from Fatah in Cairo on Tuesday.
Palestine Media Center cited Izzat al-Rishq, a member of Hamas’ political bureau, as saying the meeting will examine the formation of a Palestinian government, the issue of political detainees and the implementation of the reconciliation pact signed in Cairo on 4 May.
The deal calls for the formation of a government of independent Palestinian figures in preparation for general elections to be held within one year.
