Egyptian Health Minister Ashraf Hatem on Wednesday raised alerts for emergency and ambulance departments nationwide in anticipation of protests planned for 8 July.
Abdel Meguid Abaza, deputy minister for political and technical affairs, said the ministry drew up a plan to secure places of protests, especially the one scheduled for Friday in Tahrir.
Forty ambulances and three mobile surgery clinics will be stationed around Tahrir Square, located in front of the Shura Council, in Simon Boulevard Square, near The American University in Cairo campus and in Abdel Moneim Riyad Square.
Another 40 ambulances will be located in other areas downtown. Medical teams and equipment will be provided at the ambulances.
