Parents have no right to force daughters who have not yet reached adulthood to wear the Islamic face veil, Minister of Religious Endowments Hamdi Zaqzouq said at a conference on Saturday.
“Children should be left to play and have fun rather than be burdened with such practices,” he said.
Zaqzouq also advised the public to employ "family planning" methods.
“Some families have a new child every year, which contravenes the teachings of Islam,” he said.
