Abdel Halim Hafez hologram to perform twice in June

The great late Egyptian singer Abdel Halim Hafez will be revived in two concerts this June using hologram technology and 3D projection mapping techniques.

Hosted by MBC and RMC, Hafez’s hologram will appear at the Mall of Arabia theater on June 17 and 18.

This concert comes after a successful first appearance of Hafez’s hologram concert at the Dubai Opera House.

Fans in Dubai responded positively to the concert, which harnessed modern technology to emit an audible and visual feeling of the singer’s presence on stage as he performed all of his hits.

Ahmed Ebeid, head of the company organizing the concerts, said in a statement: “We are honored to organize a concert with hologram technology to the great artist Abdel Halim Hafez.”

He pointed out that the company pledges to present an unprecedented show in an innovative way for lovers of the artist, who has been an icon of Arab singing throughout history.

Ebeid pointed out that similar concerts are expected to be organized in other cities and regions around the world in the coming period.

The organizing company emphasized the full implementation of COVID-19 health and safety rules and procedures, including social distancing and wearing face masks, to ensure the safety of attendees.
