Abu Eita accuses MB of printing forged constitution copies

Manpower Minister Kamal Abu Eita accused the Muslim Brotherhood on Wednesday of printing of altered versions of the draft constitution currently awaiting referendum, in order to tarnish the image of the constitution in the eyes of the Egyptian people.

During his remarks at the Know your Constitution” conference held by the ministry on Wednesday evening, Abu Eita called on the people to read the original version of the constitution, and called on the MB to seek the functional discussion of the constitution rather than seeking to forge it.

The new constitution is scheduled to be put up for popular referendum on 14 and 15 January.

Local reports have recently mentioned the arrest of members of the Muslim Brotherhood on charges of printing unauthorized copies of the draft constitution.
