South Cairo Criminal Court on Sunday adjourned hearings for the re-trial of Mubarak-era Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif and Interior Minister Habib el-Adly until 23 November.
Both face charges of squandering public funds through imported car license plates.
The case was postponed because it was unable for Adly to be brought from prison to attend the session due to security reasons.
The Court of Cassation has ruled in February to cancel the previously issued verdict that found Nazif and Adly guilty.
The criminal court had previously given Nazif a suspended sentence of one year in prison, while Adly received five years in prison. Former Finance Minister Youssef Boutros-Ghali was also handed a 10-year sentence in absentia.
The legal representative of German license plate manufacturer, UTSCH, also received a suspended 18-month sentence.
