Egypt and Eritrea reach agreement on increased air traffic

Egypt and Eritrea decided to increase the number of flights between the two countries to seven roundtrip flights per week for passengers and goods.

Negotiations were held in Cairo between Alaa Ashour, head of the Civil Aviation Authority, and the head of Eritrean Civil Aviation.

The two sides drafted an agreement to develop air transport between the two countries which guarantees each party's right to operation and transportation in different parts in Africa without restrictions.

Egypt Air and Egypt Air Cargo were appointed as transporters by the Egyptian side, while Eritrean Airlines and Nasair are the transporters for the Eritrean side. The two sides agreed to cooperate in technical training in civil aviation.
