Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation al-Sayed al-Quseir met Friday 05/04/2024 with the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) Secretary General Ibrahim Al Dukhairi prospects and mechanisms of cooperation between the two sides in the field of strengthening Arab food security to confront the challenges and crises that the world is currently witnessing.
During the meeting, the importance of cooperation between Arab and African agricultural and food organizations security was discussed, in addition to preparations for the upcoming General Assembly meeting of the AOAD, which is proposed to be held in Riyadh in May.
The topics proposed for discussion were related to supporting the Arab food security system, as well as the position of the Permanent Ministerial Committee for Food Security, which was agreed to be established during the ministerial meeting of agricultural ministers of the Arab League in September in Cairo.
