Unidentified assailants set police fire to al-Haggana police station in Ain Shams district on Saturday in eastern Cairo at the intersection between Ain Shams and Ahmed Essmat streets, according to eyewitnesses.
The unknown youth hurled Molotov cocktails at the police station, causing it to burn down without casualties. The station was under renovation and due to be reopened, the witnesses added.
The Interior Ministry have not yet commented on the incident.
