American University in Cairo signs agreement with International Finance Corporation

The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) at the School of Business Administration at the American University in Cairo (AUC) has signed an agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to support entrepreneurship.

The IFC will support center in the next 18 months to adopt and customize the MIT VMS Program and adapt it to the local context in the Egyptian market.

Through this agreement, the CEI obtains the MIT VMS license to become a certified member.

It will then create a network of qualified mentors to guide aspiring entrepreneurs with existing projects in Egypt, throughout the startup lifecycle.

The Center’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Team will be responsible for strengthening and managing the mentoring network and choosing mentors to implement and formally operate a sustainable mentoring program at the AUC School of Business based on the MIT Entrepreneurship Mentoring Program.
