Egyptian Actress Amina Khalil has joined the jury for the “48 Hour Film Challenge” at the Red Sea International Film Festival which will be held from November 30 to December 9, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The Red Sea International Film Festival announced the teams selected to compete in the challenge, which targets young new talent in Saudi Arabia eager to enter the world of directing.
The challenge is supported by the French Consulate in Jeddah, the French embassy in Saudi Arabia, and the Red Sea Film Festival.
It aims to discover hidden talents and present them to local and international audiences, while providing them with the necessary skills and experience to create their own cinematic projects.
Fifteen teams will compete in the “48 Hour Film Challenge”, which will conclude with the screening of the competing films in August and by selecting two winning teams.
The leader of each team will have a chance to participate in one of the cinema and directing events in France in 2024.
