The Supreme Council of Antiquities is preparing a list of endangered archaeological sites in the Delta region and Lower Egypt, announced Mostaf Amin, the council’s newly appointed head, on Sunday. The list is to be published on the council’s website to flag archaeological sites threatened by urban expansion.
Amin, who was appointed on 30 September, emphasized the importance of unearthed archeological sites in Lower Egypt. Most foreign missions work in Upper Egypt.
