Arab League holds economic meeting ahead of Arab summit 2019

The Arab League’s Economic and Social Council held a meeting on Tuesday as part of the 30th Arab League Summit’s preparatory meetings to prepare an economic file ahead of the 2019 Arab summit in Tunisia.

The Arab League Secretary-League l Ahmed Abu al-Gheit has discussed reports on collaborative Arab social and economic work, the implementation of the 29th Arab League Summit’s (held in Dhahran) resolutions, and the economic empowerment of Palestine.

The meeting also discussed a proposal to establish the Arab Consulting Center to investigate marine accidents, contribute to negotiations regarding climate change, address social reasons for terrorism and end recruitment of children for terrorist gangs.

Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Finance Hussein Ben Shawesh clarified that the Arab countries discussed working plans for dealing with the social reasons for terrorism.
