Official spokesperson of the Armed Forces Tamer al-Refeai said on Wednesday that the Egyptian Air Defense successfully shot the MQM-107 Streaker drone during a shooting exercise in South al-Remaya Square area in Giza.
The statement added the Air Defense Personnel implemented the combat training plan with live ammunition while President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi was in attendance.
Egypt’s Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Mohammed Farid Zaki and several military commanders also attended the training exercise.
The MQM-107 Streaker is a reusable, turbojet-powered, target-towing drone primarily used by the Army Forces for testing various surface-to-air missile systems.
