Army troops kill Ansar al-Maqdis leading figure

Military spokesperson Ahmed Mohamed Ali has said troops of the Second Field Army on Monday killed Ibrahim Farag Abu Eita, known as Abu Suhaib, one of the most dangerous leaders of the Ansar al-Maqdis terrorist group.
 
Abu Eita was caught in a checkpoint on a road leading to the village of Sheikh Al-Toma south of the city of Sheikh Zuweid. He died in an exchange of fire.
 
Ali posted on Facebook that Abu Eita was involved in attacks on the armed forces and the police.
 
Ali also said the man who was riding the motorcycle with Abu Eita was arrested and referred to investigation for possessing a shotgun.
