August ends with hot weather and thunderstorms across Egypt

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) anticipates hot and humid weather during the day on Saturday in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt and the North Coast, with very hot weather in South Sinai and the southern parts of the country.

By nightfall the weather will tend to be hot and humid in most parts of the country, and moderate and humid on the North Coast.

The very hot month of August bids its farewell on Saturday with thunderstorms in some areas during intermittent periods.

Weather maps revealed chances of light rain in areas of the far west of the country.

Rain will be light to moderate and thundery in the areas of Halaib, Shalateen, Abu-Simbel, and southern New Valley, at intermittent intervals, while winds will cause sand and dust storms in these areas especially within the southern New Valley.

Weather maps showed moderate winds sometimes in areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast, South Sinai and the southern parts of the country.
