Increased wind speeds on Saturday cancelled hot air balloon flights in Luxor, Upper Egypt, for the fourth consecutive day.
Tourism companies said that flights would resume once weather conditions stabilize, as the country continues to face thunderstorms and dusty winds that hinder the balloon flights.
The director of a tourism company in Luxor, Osama Abdel-Ghani, explained that the wind speeds exceed the levels that allow a balloon to take off, alongside the fact that heavy cloud density has obstructed visibility.
Balloon companies are strictly dedicated to maintaining the safety of tourists and providing them with the best balloon trips, he said.
