Brotherhood figures arrive at Police Institute for trial on Giza Square violence

Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie, the group leader Essam al-Erian, Preacher Safwat Hegazy and others have arrived at Police Institute for first session of trial on involvement in Giza Square clashes.

The Giza Criminal Court forbid photography or videotaping except for state-run TV, amid high security measures.

Giza Prosecution had earlier ordered arrest of the suspects pending investigations on violence that took place at Giza Square and around al-Istiqama mosque in July when nine people were killed during clashes between supporters and opponents of toppled President Mohamed Morsy.

The suspects were accused of murder, supplying others with arms, harming public security and intimidating people.
