The Muslim Brotherhood has filed a lawsuit, requesting that former members of the Mubarak’s now-dissolved National Democratic Party be banned from running in parliamentary elections.
The group had collected data on former party members running in all electoral constituencies.
The lawsuit recalled that the Supreme Administrative Court had issued an historic ruling in April, which dissolved the party, returned its assets to the state and deprived its members from participating in politics. Former NDP members are still running in the upcoming elections, however.
