Three people were killed and two others were injured on Friday in the collapse of a four-story property after a fire broke out in the same building at the city of Matai, Minya Governorate.
Three fire engines, four ambulances, rescue team, and local unit equipment rushed to the accident site.
The fire broke out in a house on al-Madinah al-Munawwarah Street. As the fire was being extinguished, part of the property collapsed.
The injured were transferred to Matai Central Hospital for treatment, and the bodies to the morgue of the Matai Central Hospital at the disposal of the Public Prosecution.
Authorities filed a case on the incident, and the Public Prosecution took over investigation.
The Public Prosecution in Minya decided to assign the forensic laboratory laboratory to determine the causes of the fire and its collapse.
