Building collapse in northern Egypt kills 5 people

Five people were killed and five others injured on Tuesday after a five-story building collapsed at al-Nabi Daniel Street in Mit Ghamr city, Daqahlia governorate.

The survivors and bodies were recovered from under the rubble by the Civil Protection Forces of the Daqahliya Security Directorate.

The deceased were transferred to the Mit Ghamr General Hospital morgue at the disposal of the Public Prosecution, while the injured were transferred to the same hospital to receive the necessary treatment.

Rubble removal operations are still continuing, and services and facilities were cut off from the area until the completion of the search for missing persons.

Security forces are currently investing the number of residents within the property at the time of its collapse.
