The Cabinet approved on Wednesday evening draft resolutions submitted by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to amend five agreements between Egypt and the United States, which increase US assistance to Egypt by US$97 million.
The assistance will rise from $232 million to $329 million.
According to the resolution, the US assistance will be allocated to the fields of science, technology, agribusiness and for agreements to stimulate investment and trade in Egypt.
The assistance will also be used to provide training programs for judges to help support the institutional development of the Justice Ministry and the Planning Ministry, as well as a training program for MPs and executive bodies' employees.
