On Friday, Cairo International Airport received the first Chinese tourist group, coming from the Chinese city of Chengdu since the outbreak of the coronavirus.
There were many preventive measures and organized facilities in place to celebrate the group.
The Chinese tourist group arrived on board Sichuan Airlines, Flight No. 3U 3863, carrying 137 passengers, including the touristic group of 28.
The Chinese tourist group was received at the airport by Lieutenant General Mohamed Abbas Helmy, Minister of Civil Aviation, accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, as well as the Chinese ambassador to Cairo.
Cairo International Airport prepared a special reception including artistic performances for the Chinese tourist group coming after an absence of three years, since the pandemic in 2019.
