The President of Cairo University, Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, discussed with the Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Artificial Intelligence, Reda Abdel Wahab Al-Khuraib, a report on the establishment of the Faculty of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Applications at Cairo International University on 6th of October City.
Cairo University said in a statement that the Faculty’s establishment project comes within the framework of creating and developing new faculties that qualify for future jobs, and keep pace with the requirements of the fourth and fifth industrial revolutions and the transformation of fourth-generation universities, to face future challenges and support the country’s national needs.
The statement indicated that the College of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Applications grants a Master of Science degree in robotics and applications of artificial intelligence in the fields of: medical robots, flying robots, service robots, and cognitive robots. It also grants a PhD degree in robotics and applications of artificial intelligence.
The faculty programs follow three scientific departments: the Artificial Intelligence Department, the Robotics Department, and the Basic Sciences Department.
It is also expected to propose new programs that are suitable for future developments.
