Call for temporary bylaws for Parliament

The National Center for Parliamentary Consultation has called on the Transitional Justice Ministry to put up temporary bylaws to regulate the work done by the Parliament.

Director Rami Mohsen said in a statement on Sunday that the first parliamentary sessions will witness a legal vacuum due to the absence of bylaws.

“How can they elect the speaker, the under secretaries and the committees?” Mohsen said. “And how will they determine the legislative cycle and ways of using regulatory tools?”

“The ministry should resolve this problem before the first session of December 25,” he added. “And we are willing to contribute with our experience.”
