The authorities have arrested a Tanzanian cargo ship and a Maldivian cargo ship on Friday for dropping dead sheep into the sea in the Strait of Tiran, off the coast of Sharm El-Sheikh, on their way back from the Jordanian port of Aqaba to Romania.
An official source at the South Sinai Natural Reserves Authority said the ships had carried 1,600 sheep, of which 1000 were delivered to Aqaba and the rest were dropped into the water.
