The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued a statement refuting several rumors spread online regarding concerning the issuance of new instructions from the CBE to revise the daily maximum withdrawal limit from customer accounts.
The Central Bank assured that it did not issue any new instructions regarding cash withdrawals.
The rules previously issued in 2022, which raised the daily maximum withdrawal limit for companies as well as individuals from LE50,000 to LE150,000, are still in effect.
