The management of the metro system in Cairo introduced charge cards for passengers on Sunday, according to Ahmed Abdel Hadi, the official spokesperson for the metro company.
“Passengers can charge their cards anywhere from LE10 to LE100. And any bearer of the card can use it,” he said, adding that the card is valid for five years. “This will reduce queues in front of ticket booths.”
