An Egyptian court on Tuesday issued 13 rulings against the Interior Ministry in torture cases.
The Qasr al-Nil Misdemeanor Court ordered compensations for tens of detainees who got tortured and assaulted during their time in detention.
The court session, presided over by Sherif Ismail, noted that medical reports attached to the lawsuits proved prisoners were brutally beaten and tortured by sharp, electric tools that caused injuries.
