The National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) in Egypt monitored an earthquake in northwest Cyprus on Friday at 9:13 pm.
The NRIAG said in a statement that the stations of the National Seismic Monitoring Network, affiliated with the institute, recorded the earthquake at 710 km from Cairo.
The institute received information that the earthquake was felt in Egypt, with no loss of life or property.
The magnitude of the earthquake was 5.2 on the Richter scale, at a depth of 42 km, at latitude: 35.927 north, and longitude: 31.72 east.
