The Ministry of Health announced that 82 year-old Galela Saed, an Egyptian pilgrim from Kerdasa city in Giza, died Wednesday in Saudi Arabia, while preparing to perform the rituals for the Hajj pilgrimage in September.
Head of the medical mission of pilgrimage, Dr. Ahmed al-Ansari, said she was suffered from breathing problems and issues with her heart muscle, which stopped working while she was in her hotel room. The death of Saed raised the death toll of Egyptian pilgrims to six.
The medical mission’s emergency chamber were notified of her death and issued a death certificate from King Abd al-Aziz Hospital in Makah.
Egypt Air Company announced that the flights of pilgrims to Mecca will end at August 26. Pilgrims will return to Egypt, starting from September 6 through the 22, through Jeddah city, and from September 6 to the 26 through al-Madina al-Monawara city.
