Death toll from Israeli raid on Beirut suburb rises to 4, with 7 injured: Lebanese Health Ministry

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday, that the number of victims from the Israeli airstrike on the southern suburb of Beirut has risen to 4 fatalities and 7 injuries.

Hours earlier, the Israeli army launched an airstrike on a residential apartment in the southern suburb of Beirut, marking the second such attack since the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip. Israeli forces had targeted the area just days prior.

The Israeli army stated that the target was a member of Hezbollah. Israeli’s “Channel 14” reported that security agencies had received information that the target in Beirut was planning an operation against an Israeli aircraft in Cyprus.

Conversely, Hezbollah has not yet issued any statements regarding the identity of the individual targeted by the Israeli army.

Meanwhile, Lebanese President Michel Aoun condemned the Israeli attack, considering it “a dangerous warning about the malicious intentions against Lebanon.”

Aoun added, “Israel’s continued aggression requires us to exert more effort to address Lebanon’s friends in the world and mobilize their support for our right to full sovereignty over our land.”

He continued, “We will work with the government and its president to thwart any attempt aimed at wasting the exceptional opportunity to save Lebanon.
