Death toll in Lebanon due to Israel’s attacks continues to rise

The Lebanese Health Ministry announced that the death toll has risen to at least 20 following Israeli airstrikes on eastern Lebanon on Saturday.

The ministry said that the airstrikes on several towns and villages in the Baalbek-Hermel area in the Bekaa Valley left at least 14 people injured.

It added that Israeli attacks across the country on Friday resulted in the killing of 19 people and the injury of 91 others.

At least 2,454 people have been killed and 11,779 injured in Lebanon since mid-September, when Israel escalated its campaign against Hezbollah, according to a CNN tally of Health Ministry figures.
