Death toll of Sohag fuel store blast reaches 14

Number of victims, killed in village of Shattoura in Sohag governorate as a result of fuel stock explosion, reached 14 people as three injured died in al-Helmiya Military Hospital and Assiut University Hospital on Wednesday.
 
Major General Ibrahim Saber, Sohag security chief, was notified by the military hospital in Cairo of the death of Mohamed Mady Abdel Aal, 34, Ahmed Mohamed Shabib Askar, 55. He was also notified by Assiut hospital over death of Magdy Mahmoud Askar, 27, causing the total number of victims to reach 14, with 48 injured.
 
A huge explosion occurred Saturday evening in an unlicensed fuel store in Soha, leading to the death and injury of 61 of the villagers.
 
Defense Minister Sedqi Sobhy approved transfer of dangerous cases of the injured via military jet to armed forces hospitals in Cairo. The accident sent 15 patients to Helmiya hospital.
