Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki attended Wednesday the main phase of the tactical command centers project “Somoud-2.”
The project is being conducted by the Eastern Canal Anti-Terror Forces and continues for several days within the framework of the Armed Forces’ combat training plan.
The project is carried out in the presence of Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Osama Askar, the chiefs of the Armed Forces’ main services and a number of commanders.
Major General Nabil Hassballah, commander of the Eastern Canal Anti-Terror Forces, delivered a speech in which he stressed keenness of the General Command of the Armed Forces to provide all aspects of support for the Eastern Canal Anti-Terror Forces to carry out all the tasks entrusted to them efficiently and competently.
The main phase of the project began with a brief presentation of the operational idea of the project and the decision made in the situation during the project.
Minister Zaki discussed with a number of leaders and officers participating in the project the method of carrying out the tasks, and how to make a decision to confront sudden changes during any counter-terrorism operation.
