Mohamed Tosson, defense lawyer of deposed President Mohamed Morsy, said the defense has "surprises" that will lead to the disqualification of the judge proceding over the lawsuit trying Morsy and other Brotherhood leaders with killing protestors. Tosson said even more surprises will follow.
Mohamed al-Damaty, spokesperson of the defense team, said one of the policemen told him the lawsuit was postponed until Tuesday while entering the court for the lawsuit. He added that the prosecution referred a report for investigation regarding the information leak of a meeting between Morsy and Mohamed Selim al-Awa.
Mohamed al-Masry, one of the defense lawyers, said that one of judges from the court panel appeared as a guest on a state TV program and expressed his opinion on the lawsuit, violating the law which bars judges from sharing opinion on a trial in advance. Al-Masry said that this requires the judge to be dismissed from the case.
