Zamalek traffic diverted till August 2nd

The Public Administration for Cairo Traffic announced in a statement on Tuesday that it has changed traffic routes in Zamalek for a week, while The National Authority for Tunnels commences construction on the third metro line and an air vent on the island’s Ismail Mohammed st.

Construction began on 26 July and will be ongoing until 2 August.

Traffic police and diversion signs have been put in place to guide commuters on the new routes, the statement mentioned.

The new diverted routes are as following:

For traffic coming from 26th July st. to Ismail Mohammed Street, cars are to be diverted through Abd el-Aziz st.;

For vehicles coming from Ismail Basha st. to 26th July st., traffic is to be diverted through Yahya Ibrahim st.;

For traffic coming from 26th July st. to Hassan Assem st., cars are to be diverted through Brazil st.;

For vehicles coming from Ismail Mohammed st. to 26th July st., traffic is to be diverted through Shajaret al-Dur st.;

For traffic coming from 26th July st. to King al-Afdal st., cars are to be diverted through Mansour Mohammed st.;

For vehicles coming from Aziz Abaza st. to Mansour Mohammed st., traffic is to be diverted through Hassan Assem st.;

For traffic coming from Mansour Mohammed st. to Abu el-Feda st./cornice, cars are to be diverted through King al-Afdal st.;

For vehicles coming from al-Afdal st. to Mohammed al-Maraashly st., traffic is to be diverted through Bahgat Ali st.

For traffic coming from Mohammed al-Maraashly st. to Ismail Mohammed st., cars are to be diverted through Taha Hussein st.
