Pictures perpetuate events and embody ideas. This is what we will see at the Egypt 2015 Photo Marathon, which kicks off on Saturday, November 28 in Cairo, Mansoura, Port Said and Aswan.
This year's marathon is organized by the Danish-Egyptian Dialogue Institute.
The marathon aims to create a dialogue between photographers and their towns and neighborhoods. It is a competition for amateur and professional photographers to participate with digital cameras and smartphones.
Prizes will be given in a ceremony on Thursday, December 10, and the winning pictures will be displayed in an exhibition.
