The AlQahera News channel reported on Saturday, citing sources, that Egypt is sending equipment and a specialized team to assist in the recovery of the bodies of Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) called on Saturday for allowing the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
The agency added in a statement on the X platform that as winter approaches in Gaza, people’s need for shelter and warmth increases.
The UNRWA added that shelter materials and winter supplies for displaced Palestinian families are available in warehouses, but are prohibited from entering.
The displaced lack even the most basic means of protection, and several, especially children, have died as a result of the extreme cold during the past two winters.
