The Ministry of Education and Technical Education on Saturday announced its schedule for the 2023/2024 academic year.
This academic year is scheduled to start from Saturday, September 30 until Saturday, June 8, 2024, covering different educational stages of government and private schools.
The Ministry said in a statement that the study period will be eight months, with the beginning of the mid-year exams on January 14.
First semester
The first semester is scheduled to start on September 30, until Thursday, January 25, 2024.
The first semester exam for basic competencies exam for transfer classes in technical education schools (Jadarat) will start on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
Second semester
The second semester will start on Saturday, February 10, 2024, until Thursday, June 6, 2024, while the start of the second semester exams for the transfer and preparatory certificate classes will be on Saturday, May 25, 2024.
Technical diploma exams will be on Saturday, June 1, 2024, provided that the general secondary exams begin as scheduled on Saturday, June 15, 2024.
Half-term vacation
The duration of the mid-year vacation is two weeks, starting from Saturday, corresponding to January 27, 2024, and ending on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
