Egypt strongly condemned any threats targeting the security of Saudi Arabia, which undermines the security and stability of the region and threatens the safety of maritime navigation, international trade, and vital waterways.
In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, Egypt affirmed that these threats constitute a flagrant violation of international law, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, and relevant Security Council resolutions.
Egypt stressed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and all the Gulf Cooperation Council states, and its support for all measures they take to preserve their security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
It emphasized the importance of prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions and respecting the rules of international law, in order to maintaining peace within the region.
