Egypt on Saturday expressed its concern over Israel’s recent attack on Yemeni territory, which are further escalating already heightened tensions.
The Foreign Ministry on Saturday called for uniting international efforts to maintain the region’s security and stability.
Egypt warned against expanding the conflict in the region, and urged all parties to exercise restraint to prevent further instability.
It also called on regional and international parties to shoulder their responsibilities in order to end the Israeli war in Gaza, which is escalating regional tensions.
Egypt reaffirmed its firm position on an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and on allowing humanitarian aid to enter Gaza without any obstacles.
This is a necessary step to contain tension, it said, and the basic foundation for establishing a comprehensive truce in the region in order to preserve stability.
