Egypt’s Minister of Social Solidarity Nevine Kabbaj announced during a Sunday press meeting that the ministry has established hotline 15044 to receive complaints from people with special needs.
According to Kabbaj, the Ministry has automated the services provided by the Social Rehabilitation Office for the Disabled, recruiting public servants to further improve the service’s quality.
She stressed the ministry’s role will be “social and economic development”, with the cooperation of media professionals and journalists.
Kabbaj also praised former Minister of Social Solidarity Ghada Wali for her work to develop the ministry’s services.
Ten new ministers including Kabbaj and 11 deputies to the ministers took oath on December 22 in front of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi following the approval by the House of Representatives on the cabinet reshuffle.
