Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, on the sidelines of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s inauguration for a number of development projects in the Suez Canal on Sunday said that the government has developed a complete vision for the development of governorates by the Suez Canal until June 2020.
The Cabinet is focued on housing projects and development of slums, as well as petroleum projects in the Suez Canal governorates and Sinai, he said.
Madbouly stressed that the development plan for these regions is part of a complete vision set by the political leadership to achieve sustainable development throughout Egypt until the middle of the century.
The Prime Minister made a presentation regarding the achievements of the Sinai and the Suez Canal region, and also thanked Egyptians for participating in the constitutional referendums.
President Sisi announced in mid-2014 a national plan to develop Sinai and governorates of the Suez Canal, including a vision of a full national project for the development and protection of Sinai on a security level through purging it of terrorists and on an economic level through major development projects, according to Madbouli.
