The Egyptian government’s cooperation with Maersk to establish a national green energy network is a conscious partnership, Mamdouh Ismail, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, said.
During an interview with presenter Rasha Magdy, on “Sabah al-Balad” program, broadcast on Sada al-Balad channel, on Tuesday, Ismail said that Maersk is a Danish company and is considered the largest international company in the field of truck and container transport, operating in more than 116 countries. He added the company has more than 370 offices worldwide, and 31,000 employees, therefore it is considered a giant company in the field of maritime transport.
Maersk founder invented the method of transporting trucks by sea, Ismail said, adding that decades ago, trucks were transported by land, while goods were transported from land to sea.
Ismail stressed that the partnership with Maersk will bring to Egypt several benefits and very large returns, especially with regard to exchanging experiences, and training manpower.
