Deputy chairman of the Egyptian National Railways has been banned from travel at Cairo International Airport, a move that comes nearly two weeks after the death of 30 people in a train crash in Giza.
A security source said that when Mohamed Ahmed Suleiman arrived for a flight to Beijing, authorities found he had been banned from travel as per a decision by the General Prosecutor, Hesham Barakat.
The reason behind the ban was not announced.
