Egypt to request Ghali, Rachid handover from Qatar, paper reports

Egyptian authorities will request Qatar hands over the North African country’s former trade and finance ministers, Al Ahram reported, citing Ahmed Gamal el-Din, first assistant to the interior minister for public security.

Youssef Boutros-Ghali, who was minister of finance during Hosni Mubarak’s rule, and Rachid Mohamed Rachid, who held the trade post, now live in Qatar after having resided in London following the start of unrest in Egypt, the Cairo-based newspaper cited el-Din as saying.
