The Egyptian Senate approved during a plenary session on Monday, article 58 of the draft new labor law submitted by the Government,
The article prohibits children labor before reaching the age of 15 with the possibility of training them when they reach fourteen years; on the condition that their schooling is not affected.
The Council also approved to commit the employer, who uses a child under the age of 16, to provide ID that includes the type of work and attached to it the photo of the child. Approval by the competent administrative authority and sealed with its seal is also a must for the document to be legally viable.
