Egypt sends tons of aid to Gaza

Convoys from the National Alliance for Civil Development Work and the “Hayah Karima” (Decent Life) initiative headed towards the Gaza Strip on Saturday, with approximately 106 truck-trailers carrying huge quantities of humanitarian aid.

The aid includes 1,000 tons of food, 40,000 blankets, and more than 300,000 boxes of medicines, medical supplies, and clothes, accompanied by a medical team of all specialties in an attempt to alleviate conditions for the Palestinian people as a result of Israeli aggression.

The launch of the convoys comes in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, to provide immediate support and relief to Palestine.

The National Alliance for Civil Development Work, in cooperation with the Health Ministry and Blood Bank, also launched a massive blood donation campaign under the slogan “A drop of blood equals a life” across all of Egypt.

The Hayah Karima Foundation participates in the comprehensive convoy to help aid the Palestinian people as part of the foundation’s pioneering work inside and outside Egypt.

The National Alliance for Civil Development Work expressed deep regret over the escalation of violence in the Gaza Strip, which threatens international peace and contradicts the United Nations Charter to preserve human rights.

The coalition affirmed its solidarity and full support for the Palestinian people by continuously sending humanitarian aid until the situation improves.

The Hayah Karima Foundation also announced its full solidarity with the Palestinian people, and allocated accounts in Egyptian banks to collect donations, in addition to participating in the blood donation campaign to aid Palestinians in need.
