The Confederation of African Football (CAF) officially announced on Thursday the dates for the two matches between Egypt and Senegal in the final African qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar: the first of which is scheduled in Cairo on March 25.
The first match is scheduled on March 25 at Cairo Stadium, at 9:30 pm.
The draw for the last stage of the qualifiers, which was held on the sidelines of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon sought out Egypt against Senegal.
Egypt and Senegal met in the final match of the Africa Cup of Nations, and the Pharaohs lost on penalties after a draw in extra time.
According to the CAF, the return match will be held on March 29 at the new Diamniadio Olympic Stadium in Senegal’s capital, Dakar, at 7 pm Cairo time.
